The One With a Cheesecake and Not Much Else

I have 4 drafts of new posts started. This makes 5. I find myself beginning to talk about something, and then I get bored with it (and myself) a few sentences later. Maybe this one'll stick.

I need to start writing things down more. . .I keep thinking of things that would be interesting to delve into further on my bliggity blog here, but I don't write them down, and then I forget them, and then my entries turn into a mess of non-organizedness.

Made a cheesecake last night. It's a blackberry cheesecake that I made completely from scratch and am quite proud of, even though I don't know how it tastes yet. (I started making it at about 8:00, and there's a lot of baking and cooling involved; then, I had to be up early enough to be at work this morning by 7, so there wasn't a lot of cheesecake-slicing/eating time.) The picture that I have here is just of the cheesecake. . .not of the blackberry stuff I put on top. D took better pictures, though, so maybe I'll ask him for one of those to post. (If I had a camera better than the one on my phone, I'd be able to provide better shots. But C'est la vie, I suppose.

I also made BLT Macaroni Salad to go with the turkey burgers D had made a couple days ago. It didn't occur to me at the time that a pound of pasta is. . .a lot of pasta. As a result, I have an eff-ton of this stuff left over. That's OK, though, because it makes good lunchtime food.

Today's lunch, if you're wondering, will be that pasta salad and some boneless chicken wings left over from when D and I went to Wild Wing Cafe. He got 8 ridiculously, RIDICULOUSLY hot wings, and I got the Gold Rush ("honey BBQ with a kick") and Old Yeller ("A Carolina yellow mustard classic.") So, I'm excited about lunch.

That's. . .about it.
